We would like to promote waste reduction to schools and families in community. After joining the following events, we hope participants can implement “Recycle” and “Reuse” in their daily life. The recycle facilities and resources sharing in community can be introduced as well.

From October 2021 to January 2022, we will organize monthly activities such as free online talks and DIY workshops, and Countryside Clean Up. Environmental knowledge and green living ideas are promoting to residents, workers and students in the Southern district.

Due to the improving pandemic situation, “Green Living in Yau Tsim Mong 2020″ will be resumed in late Sept. Green living education counters and green workshop will be organized in order to promote the importance of green living and educate people how to reduce waste at sources. This project is sponsored by Yau Tsim Mong District Council.

Green Living education counters

Brief introduction about clean and proper recycling as well as waste reduction at sources will be provided. Handmade soap will be delivered to people who visits the counters. Besides, Yau Tsim Mong District’s residents can register for the green workshop at the counters too. Buy less over-packaging items and start living green!

Theme: Organic Gardening Workshop

Foods we find in markets nowadays are often loaded with pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. Negative impacts include its damage on our health, as well as its disruption against our natural environment. As the pandemic stretches onwards, what better way to spend our time and ensure a healthy food source than organic gardening? Organic gardening is good for the environment as it requires no synthetic chemicals, and fully relies on the natural interactions between the plant and the natural environment. A greener and less waste alternative for gardening can put into action in this afternoon workshop!

LOHAS 2018 & VFA 2018 | Green Sense Workshops

During the LOHAS 2018 & VFA 2018 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre on 3 Feb 2018, Green Sense will be organising workshops in Hall 5F & G in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. We aim to promote recycling and upcycling as well as reduce waste.

1.    FUN EVENTS!

Green Sense is delighted to bring you two workshops in the exhibition: eco-detergent workshop and old banner up-cycling workshop! For eco-detergent workshop, tutors will introduce the harmfulness of cleaning chemicals to the Earth, and point out the food waste problem in Hong Kong. Eco-friendly cleaning methods, eco-enzyme procedures and attention points will also be guided. As for old banner up-cycling workshop, our tutor will explain the current situation of plastic recycling and difficulties. Plastic sorting will be introduced in order to remind participants of reducing usage of plastic and avoiding resource wastage.

Participants should prepare a clean plastic container (around 500ml beverage container or detergent plastic container, glass bottle should be avoided).

Old banner up-cycling workshop
Time: 16:30 – 17:30
